Start caring for the flowers as soon as they arrive. The first day matters because fresh stems need reliable access to clean water after transport.

1. Check the water right away

For flowers in a vase, make sure the water level covers the lower ends of the stems. For flowers arranged in floral foam, gently add water to the center of the container so the foam remains moist. Pour slowly to prevent overflow and protect furniture.

Check the arrangement daily. Warm rooms, large designs, and thirsty flowers can use water faster than expected.

2. Use a clean vase and clean tools
